Commercial Management

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies that support business growth, profitability, service excellence, and market competitiveness.
  • Establish, monitor, and analyze key commercial KPIs, including sales, revenue, margins, profitability, and customer development metrics.
  • Evaluate business performance across customers, product categories, and market segments to identify growth opportunities and improve profitability.
  • Lead pricing strategies and commercial terms management, including discounts, rebates, and special agreements.
  • Oversee quotations and order management to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, profitability, and timely customer response.
  • Maintain visibility of sales forecasts, opportunities, and commercial pipelines to support planning and decision-making.
  • Identify and develop new customers, markets, products, and services that contribute to long-term business growth.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships while managing escalated commercial issues, complaints, and contract matters.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and retention levels and implement corrective actions as needed.

Procurement & Supply Chain Management

  • Develop sourcing strategies that ensure product availability, cost efficiency, quality standards, and supply continuity.
  • Identify, assess, and manage supplier relationships while maintaining a diversified supplier base.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other supplier agreements to optimize total acquisition costs and profitability.
  • Review and approve procurement transactions and purchase orders within authorized limits.
  • Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and supply risks, adapting procurement strategies when necessary.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing stock shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescence.
  • Evaluate suppliers and product performance based on cost, quality, service levels, availability, and operational impact.

Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Commercial and Procurement team through clear objectives, performance standards, and accountability measures.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure alignment between commercial commitments and operational capabilities.
  • Prepare and present management reports covering commercial performance, profitability, procurement activities, supplier performance, and inventory metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, improve service quality, and optimize business processes.
  • Ensure accurate and effective use of ERP systems and business tools for commercial and procurement activities.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and operational procedures.

Perfil buscado (Hombre / Mujer)

  • Advanced written and spoken English proficiency.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in commercial management, sales, procurement, supply chain, customer service, or business management in the ship supply or maritime industry.
  • At least three years of leadership experience with responsibility for managing teams and delivering business results.
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, margin management, customer development, and strategic account management.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost control, and procurement operations.
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, KPI monitoring, profitability analysis, and management reporting.
  • Experience implementing process improvements and internal controls.
  • Exposure to logistics, international trade, B2B distribution, or related industries is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of inventory management, procurement planning, supplier evaluation, and supply chain operations.
